Bin isn't emptied
Has your bin not been emptied (or not completely emptied) as usual, even though it is your collection day and it is past 16:00? Check the checklist below to see what applies. If so, you can contact us.
You can report a missed wheelie bin up to 2 working days after the collection day. The collection day itself does not count.
What applies to you?
Have multiple bins on your street not been emptied?
Then there is probably an issue with the route or there was a disruption. We will return as soon as possible, usually the next working day. Please contact us.
Was the bin placed correctly?
The wheelie bin should be placed by the kerb with the wheels facing your house, clear of parked cars, poles and overhanging branches. The lorry lifts it with a grabber: if it is crooked or blocked, the driver cannot reach it.
View collection rulesWas the bin by the kerb before 7:30?
We start driving from 7:30, and the route may sometimes differ from what you are used to. If you put your wheelie bin out later, we will not come back. Make sure to put it out on time on the next collection day.
Did you put out the right bin?
We collect one type of waste per collection day. You can usually easily recognise the container by the colour of the lid. Check the waste collection calendar to see which wheelie bin is due.
View waste collection calendarWas the bin too heavy or overfilled?
A wheelie bin can weigh a maximum of 70 kg. If your container is too heavy, it cannot be lifted by our colleagues or the lorry. Remove some waste and present the wheelie bin again on the next collection day.
Did it contain waste that does not belong there?
Residual waste in your PMD container or plastic in your organic waste (GFT): that should not be in there! That way we cannot process the waste properly and valuable raw materials are lost. You can find what waste goes where on the Which waste goes where page.
